Both hubbie and I had a snow day today, so among other fun things, I decided to make us a nice, homemade french toast and bacon breakfast. We just might have gone out to the Price Chopper to procure ingredients at 11pm last night in anticipation of today's free time. Turned out pretty well and as an added bonus, I got to finally do some photography for once. Maybe today will entice me to keep it up. Sorry I've neglected you photo blog. Please forgive me?

2/19/2010 - Actual snow when they forecasted it!
I took this picture out of my office window on Tuesday when we had a pretty good storm going on. At this point, it was really starting to come down and we ended up getting 5-7 inches or so.

2/5/2010 - Re-purposed Industry
This pulley is from a sliding door which I can only assume used to be part of an old mill in Northboro. We chanced by the mill and it's dam (now a cascading waterfall) on the way back from lunch today. A portion of the water was sent down a sluice and then rushed back into the main body of water after the waterfall. This door had either fallen or had been placed over the sluice and probably functions as a makeshift bridge. I didn't test it out.... I had a feeling it hadn't been put there on purpose.

1/28/2010 - Fresh Snow Catching the Setting Sun
Ok, so this picture was kindof a surprise. I just snapped it thinking "what the heck." I had taken some earlier in the day that I thought would be cool and had intended to use on of those until I got home and noticed that the potentially cute pictures of my strawberry coconut bubble tea looked horrible and this random shot I took just because looked awesome. Weird how things work out like that some days. Oh, to see the real beauty of this image, click on it to blow it up. You can see the fresh snow clinging to the branches at the bottom. Totally cool...

1/1/2010 - Some green against all that white
This is the yarn for the Cedar Leaf Shawlette I will be starting for myself in the next few days. The lovely slightly changing green just popped against the backdrop of recent snow.
